Publisher’s wrappers. - The first volume of this catalogue provides the salient details for about 700 blind-stamped bindings in the Bibliothèque Mazarine, including notes and marks of ownership, and references to comparable bindings elsewhere. The second volume reproduces each element of the decoration, on the model pioneered by J.B. Oldham.
