Publisher’s printed wrappers. - Includes “one major piece, the unique Wynkyn de Worde Proprytees and medicynes of horses, ingeniously back-dated from ‘c. 1525’ to 1497-8 by Christie’s at the Fitzwilliam sale, where Kraus out-bid the British Library” (from a notice in The Book Collector, Winter 2002, pp.537-538). After a sojourn in New York it was acquired by the British Library, which celebrated the purchase on 28 June 2004 with a lecture by Professor George Keiser of Kansas State University followed by a reception.
