Self-wrappers. - Among the scientific and medical incunabula (items 16-42) is a copy of the 1485 Ratdolt Alhazen, printed on vellum, from the library of the Georg Ratzenberger (d. 1537); notable later books include the 1543, 1555, and 1568 editions of Vesalius; the 1552 Geminus; and the 1502 first edition of the Speculum Lapidum of Camillus Leonardus, printed on vellum, illuminated, and in its original Venetian binding (said to be the dedication copy to Cesare Borgia). ¶ Wrappers not entirely fresh.
