Publisher’s printed wrappers. - Catalogue 54 was issued from 78, Stamford Court, Goldhawk Road, London W6, and was the first to be published following the death of Martin Breslauer (October 1940), and to have B.H. Breslauer’s name on the inside cover. Item 614 is a large collection about the book thief Guglielmo Libri, comprising 122 publications and 18 autograph letters (£100); item 622 is a collection entitled “Forgery in Literature”, 312 works in 200 bound volumes and 75 in original wrappers (£480). ¶ Ink inscription on upper wrapper; otherwise an unmarked copy.
