Mulvihill, in Eighteenth-Century Studies, volume 43, 2009, pp.151-63). Hester Thrale’s heavily annotated set of The Spectator (lot 422) realised $140,300 (now Beinecke Library, Yale University) and Thrales’s annotated copy of Richard Cumberland’s Memoirs (lot 426) fetched $42,700 (now Hyde Collection, Harvard College Library). ¶ As new.
