Publisher’s printed wrappers. - The album – “three books of flowers, animals and birds” painted by Anselmus Boetius de Boodt (1550-1632), and two other artists at the court of Rudolph II in Prague – was unsold at Sotheby’s; it reappeared a year later in the stock of Heribert Tenschert (his Catalogue 43: The De Boodt Watercolours; notice in The Book Collector, Summer 2000, pp.254-257).
