Publisher’s printed wrappers. - Unique fragment of the Passione di Cristo ([Northern Italy (Bologna or Ferrara?)]: Ulrich Han?, c. 1463], one of the most problematic survivals of early printing. Consigned by the heirs of the New Orleans bibliophile Edward Alexander Parsons (1878-1962), it was acquired at Christie’s by H.P. Kraus (£390,000) for the Scheide Library, Princeton University.
