Publisher’s printed wrappers. - Lots 1-366 are property of the Iranian-born academic Cyrus Ghani; “the library is particularly strong on Persia as it was perceived by Western travellers from the seventeenth to the twentieth centuries, and it forms the basis of Ghani’s contribution to the field: Iran and the West: a critical bibliography (Kegan Paul International, 1987” (catalogue foreword). Also offered are books on Cyprus from the Library of the Inner Temple (lots 367-375) and some 2000 volumes comprising the library of the Byzantine scholar Joan M.
