On 26 November 1996 it returned to the saleroom, but failed to reach its reserve (£800,000-£1,200,000). In May 1997, the atlas was acquired by the British Library with the help of a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (British Library Maps C.29.c. 13). ¶ Unmarked copy.
