Publisher’s printed wrappers. - Includes a Lutheran prayerbook made for Countess Dorothea von Mansfield (lot 26, £265,500, to Quaritch; reappeared in Christie’s, The Arcana Collection, Part III, 6 July 2011, lot 28; subsequently with Jörn Günther); a large antiphonal from the workshop of Pellegrino di Mariano, Siena, c. 1480 (ex-Ader Picard Tajan sale, 21 June 1985, lot 6, then Christie’s 27 November 1991, lot 2), was left unsold (with Heribert Tenschert, Leuchtendes Mittelalter. Neue Folge II, 1998, item 16). Lots 132-225 were “Property of the Lord Harlech, from the Broguntyn (Porkington) Library”.
