Publisher’s pictorial wrappers. - Marcus Crahan was a physician with the Los Angeles County Jail; his wife was director of Los Angeles County Medical Association Library, from 1978 to 1990. An amateur bookbinder, Marcus Crahan gave excessive attention to the books in their collection, and many were over-restored.
