II (4 November 1980): (4) 112 pp., frontispiece, 45 p. of plates (pls.I-XLV). 447 lots. III (5 May 1981): (4) 110 pp., colour frontispiece, 31 p. of plates (pls.I-XXXI, some in colour). 528 lots. IV (3 November 1981): (8) 94 pp., frontispiece, 22 p. of plates (pls.I-XXII). 564 lots. Uniform publisher’s pictorial wrappers. - Sale catalogue of the collection established c. 1857 in Staßfurt by the industrialist Carl Wilhelm I Adam (1830-1910), continued by his son, Walther Adam (1881-1964), and in 1939 relocated in Goslar by the latter’s nephew, Carl Wilhelm III Adam (1900-1984). It contained large numbers of medieval, Armenian, and Syriac manuscripts, autographs and charters. A further sale (Auktion 138: Sammlung Adam. Teil V) was conducted by Tenner, on 4 May 1982 (Flugblätter und Flugschriften des 17. Jahrhunderts, der Dreißigjährige Krieg, Magdeburg; 370 lots). ¶ Unmarked copies. No lists of prices realised.
