Publisher’s printed wrappers. - Contains the property of Bernd Pattloch (lots 1-110); Prince Karl Adolf Auersperg (1915-2006), consigned to Sotheby’s by his son-in-law, German Mailhos (1933-2005). The copy of the ninth edition of the Decameron (lot 22), the only known complete copy with table of contents (3 ff.) inserted between a1 and a2, bound with Masuccio Novellino (both printed by Baptista de Tortis), was bought for £50,000 by Yale; see Laurence C.
