The stolen texts of Molière : an exhibition of plagiarized, pirated & misappropriated works from the Walter L. Pforzheimer Collection (catalogue of an exhibition in the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Yale University, July-August 2005)
New Haven, Yale University, 2005
(23 cm), 39 pp. Publisher’s pictorial wrappers. - The exhibition focused on twelve plays published in thirty editions, mostly by unauthorized printers. All of the exhibited books were donated to the Beinecke Library by Walter L. Pforzheimer; “the core” had been inherited from his father, also named Walter Pforzheimer (1883-1955), who assembled a virtually complete collection of Molière. Cf. The Yale University Library Gazette, volume 80, October 2005, pp.13-14. ¶ Very good, unmarked copy.
