Publisher’s pictorial wrappers. - Facsimile edition with commentaries of an album of 67 drawings by Hugh Douglas Hamilton (1740-1808) of beggars, tricksters, hawkers of fish, wigs and brogues, etc. Discovered in Australia, the album was offered for sale by Christie’s, London, 16 May 2002, lot 29 (£193,650), and subsequently entered a private collection in Ireland. ¶ Excellent, unmarked copy.
