Most of the prints are late Roman editions from the old Royal Library; “there is, however, one great rarity which ought to be noted. This is a disbound copy of the first state of the first edition of the 1743 Prima parte di Architetture. One print in it shows an early state that escaped even Robison’s investigations [Forma ideale del Campidoglio antico, before numbering and extra shading; Robison 8, before state I] (from a review by Antony Griffiths, in Print Quarterly, volume 18, 2001, p.204). ¶ Very good, unmarked copy.
