Publisher’s printed wrappers. - The group of 27 newly-discovered drawings by Jacques Le Moyne de Morgues (lots 29-55) is only the second significant collection of works by the artist to appear at auction since 1961, when the British Museum purchased an album of 50 of his botanical watercolours (six botanical miniatures on vellum were sold from the estate of Eric Korner at Sotheby’s New York, 29 January 1997).
