Seventy-four volumes (29 cm), numbered 1-65 (plus supplementary vols. numbered 12A, 13A, 14A, 14B, 15A, 15B, 24A, 26A, 50A). Uniform publisher’s cloth, gilt; printed dust jackets. - A fine run of the Hollstein “German” series, comprising all volumes published before 2006 (Achen – Solis, 1-3), in superb condition in original dust jacket. Many of the earlier volumes have passed out of print: at time of writing (February 2014), twenty-three volumes are no longer available from the publisher (vols. 1-6, 8-12, 13, 16-23, 27-28); seventeen further volumes have been published (vols. 66-82; vols. 63-70, 75-76, 79-82 are also appear in the “New Hollstein German series”). Volumes 66-82 are obtainable from Sound & Vision Publishers (price €465 each; www.hollstein.com). ¶ Dust jackets on the earliest volumes spotted (spines only); overall an exceptionally fresh set with few signs of use.
