Publisher’s boards, pictorial dust jacket. - A chronological list of 232 buildings commemorated in medallic form, with a biographical register of 136 architects (or architectural firms), and of 90 medallists, sculptors, and publishers of medals. The utility of the evidence presented cannot be overstated: 65 of the buildings depicted on these medals have been demolished; a further 29 have undergone major rebuilding or alteration. “This is an admirable catalogue which should grace every numismatic, architectural, or topographical library” (review by J.
