The catalogue is organised in eight sections: the family, and their collaborators; the Remondini and paper production; decorative papers; so-called “popular” prints; the use of prints; so-called “fine” prints (restrikes of collectible prints of Old Masters); typography; and the diffusion of the prints. “The intention was to present the entire range of the firm’s production, evaluate the relationship between ‘popular’ and ‘fine’ prints, examine the development of ‘popular’ images, and, above all, explain the different purposes to which the prints were used” (from a review by Peter Fuhring, in Print Quarterly, volume 11, 1994, pp.441-446). ¶ Very good, unmarked copy.
