Publisher’s printed wrappers. - German translations first appeared in 1519, beginning with some humanistic works (from the Adagia and Colloquia), later, and more importantly of theological works, the first of them being the Paraphrases in Novum Testamentum. “A modest but excellent and very attractive catalogue… The manner in which [Irmgard Bezzel] has described and commented on the ninety-six editions deserves every praise. There are a select bibliography and indexes, which make this little book a convenient and useful tool” (from a notice in Quaerendo, volume 10, 1980, p.355). ¶ Very good copy.
