A collection of literary sources for the history of art, assembled and catalogued by Count Cicognara (1767-1834). Cicognara’s library of approximately 5000 books was purchased en bloc in 1824 by Pope Leo XII and absorbed in the Bibliotheca Apostolica Vaticana. ¶ Corners of binding worn; light stain and a few marks on fore-edge.
